Bathroom Remodel

We are finally going to remodel the bathroom.  Here are a few before pics, you can see how it needed to be done.

Removing the rod and then it is on to demolition.

I think they had extra screws or a new guy on the job since you don't need a dozen screws in one place.

With the vanity out it was on to the tiles.

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now time to get the new window in.

Just after the window got in there was a wind storm.
Chris was able to get the new insulation in and backer board done and ready for the plumber. We decided to switch to a single faucet handle and a pop up drain. Since we are novice home renovators and plumbing isn't something to mess with we left it to the professionals at Thurgood Plumbing. Who did an awesome job!

Filling the gaps with mud.

Now for the tile.  Chris started with the trim around the window.

Alana helping wash the wall so we could start painting.

It really is coming along nicely, the shelves really make it a great space!

Alana was barricaded and then we got to work on painting.  We went with a color called Chopped Chive for one wall. I love it and and the whole room is so bright and cheery.  We also painted the other walls and trims with Blanched Pine. Ryker helped paint enough to get a photo but he did an amazing job playing with Alana and keeping her happy when we both needed to be working on the bathroom.

It goes so well with the tile, I really love it!

Greg helped with some of the touch ups.

I am working on molding for the mirror.

Time for grouting, grouting and more grouting. It seemed to take forever.
The grout sat on there too long so it had to be scraped off - that is no fun! While I was chiseling Chris and Greg put in the new vanity. I love it and the sink is so sweet!

We still have some finish work to do but we are really happy with the remodel! I am so thankful that Chris was so dedicated to the cause and able to do the work.
