A Day in Salt Lake

Chris had a class in Salt Lake so the kids and I headed down with him and went to the Hogle Zoo! Chrisgot the family a Zoo pass this year and I am so excited to use it!  It was a nice cool morning and the animals were very active, which made for an interestingday at the Zoo.

The gorilla was looking for something in its nose.

Ryker finally decided he wanted his picture on the Rhino.
Monkeys were on the move and the little baby was soo cute. The bottom picture is of the outside enclosure - that monkey worked really hard upside down to get that plant- it must be yummy.

Ryker and Alana took some persuading to sit on the same tiger- but look how cute they are!

We got to see the Tigers right at feeding time.  I got a video but it won't post so pictures will have to do. There were too big chunks of meat and three tigers- I am not sure how that works out for the third one or if they trade off eating.

AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! This is the only lion they have at the Zoo- I think it should roar when you push the button for the water fountain.

It was Earth Day at the Zoo and this school bus was converted into a garden it was the neatest thing and Ryker and Alana had a great time playing in it. I think Alana would have driven it away if they would have let her.

We always have fun in the Play land. This time Alana was able to play on most of the toys without much help.

We still had some time left in the day before Chris was done with class so we headed down to the Utah Red and White Game.  Leah Sharitt, a teacher Chris works with, got us into the game and her son Patrick and Ryker had a great time on the carts and playing with the football.
