Nine Mile Canyon

This last weekend we went on a little excursion to a very special place, Nine Mile Canyon (NMC). NMC is located near Price Utah and runs East and West. This is one of the, if not the, premire location in Utah containing numerous (estimated at 10,000!) sites of Indian rock art. There is not much known about the ancient inhabitants of this canyon but they are usually referred to as the Fremont Indians, relatives of the Anasazi. It was a wonderful experience to be able view some of these rock art sites in person and admire art in a natural setting. Here are some of the pictures from the trip (more available on Chris's website...here is the link: http://www.cjpphoto.com/New%20images.htm) Enjoy!

I love Nine Mile. I grew up rather close to there, and every summer we would go to Nine Mile Canyon. In fact, right after Cam and I got married, we biked the canyon.
