Konae's Birthday Party

Today we had Konae's family over to celebrate her 31st birthday! All in attendance were her parents, sister Kara, her sister Kalani and her husband Ryan and their kid, brother Daemian, sister in law Vida and their two kids, and one of her numerous cousins, Brock. We dined on chicken enchiladas, Spanish rice, cookie salad, and jello. For dessert we had oatmeal cake with coconut pecan frosting....it was freakin tasty. She received some wonderful gifts from her family and then had time to play a few games. As you can see from the pics she is moving along in the pregnancy and during the last doctor appointment we added 6 cm to the tape measure! We are now on the two week visit plan and then down to every week for the last month. With those added cm I have to be careful to watch out for the fetal girth and the possibility of inadvertent impact.
Spring is on its way here in Logan, it snowed a little bit here today but with no accumulation. I have 16 days of actual student teaching days (not that I am counting down), and am looking forward to graduation in a month. Konae will continue to teach and has about 2 months left.

Happy Birthday Girlfriend...I can't beleive that we are in our thirties now. It seems just like yesterday that we were hanging at the singles ward in our early twenties. Well I guess the old saying goes " life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the end you get the faster it goes..."
