Recent Events...

We have been busy over the past several weeks. We went camping again, this time up to the Albion Basin, near Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon. It was beautiful up there with all of the wildflowers in full bloom. After we spent several day up there we came home and worked on a few minor home improvement items (closet organizers and new blinds) and then most recently Ryker has started to walk and along with that we think he has chicken pox!! There you go, us in the last several weeks.

Chris's photos from the trip...read previous post first

This area provided great photo opportunities for me. Two of the mornings I went out and shot great mountain scenes and even a little bit of wildlife. The last morning there I was out in the meadow and was focused on what I was doing. I heard a slight sound behind me and turned around...there I was, being sniffed down by a moose no more than 10 feet away!! Needless to say, I was more than slightly shocked that an animal more that twice my size could sneak up behind me. As it turns out, she was just curious and I greatly enjoyed the close encounter.
Here are some of the "professional" photographs that I took.

Christmas in July

This past week we went camping in Christmas Meadows up in the Uinta mountains; we were there for 3 nights and 4 days. We had a great time! The temperature was about 10-15 degrees cooler than down in the valley, the wildflowers were out, the aspen were green, the mountains still had just a little snow on them. We went on several small hikes and enjoyed the numerous meadows, lakes, and rivers in the area.

P90X Update

Well, we are almost finished with week 2 of our P90X journey. We have done the workouts everyday and been pretty close to the nutrition plan. I do have to say that the first week is the hardest; we were extremely sore and it hurt to think. Week 2 was a little better, we weren't as sore (notice I didn't say that we weren't sore) and since we had done it before we were able to keep up a little better.

Unfortunately we are going to have to suspend P90X for about a week and a half while we are out camping, BUT, we WILL pick it back up as soon as we get back!!

Remember to BRING IT...and, Do your best and forget the rest!

Alabama Trip

A few weeks ago we went out to visit my parents in Alabama. This was a surprise to my Dad who didn't know we were coming, and boy was he surprised!! We had a great visit and here are a few pics from hot and sticky Alabama...
