Birthday # 1

Well, Ryker has made it a year, time sure does fly!! We had a party for him at a park near our home and had relatives and friends join us. Here are some pics and video...enjoy!

Camping

On Friday we went on the first camping trip of the summer. This was also Ryker's first camping trip and he did good. We went to Strawberry Reservoir with my brother Greg, his wife Amanda, and 2 of her little brothers.

Today was the last day of school for Konae and I...we are free!!!!!!

5K

Yesterday was the 2009 Davis County USU Spring Run Off. Konae found out about this several months ago and for some crazy reason she likes to do these 5K's. So after very little training and a pizza dinner the night before we did it. Konae came in with a time of 39:42, Ryker with a time of 48:43 (1 second before me because I was pushing the stroller), and I came in with a time of 48:44. Yes, Konae did beat me BUT, in my defense, I did do an amazing race with my district the day before, during which I ran/walked around 10 miles. Also, I unfortunately get very painful shin splints when running; so there ya go, plenty of excuses for me.

After the race they have a raffle where several very cool USU items are given away, we did not win one of those but did win a 5 gallon bucket of Dryers ice cream...yea, that's what we need after a race, 5 gallons of ice cream...oh well, it will come in handy at the family party!
