Fist sucking

For the past several weeks Ryker has started to become slightly aware that he not only has a mouth to scream with and a butt to poop out of, but that he also has appendages. He will at times try to fit most of his fist into his mouth and just today lifted one of his feet up in the air and stared at it trying to figure out why this was attached to him.

In other news around the Putman household we are doing good...keeping busy. Chris is well on his way with coaching volleyball; his boys have done well and now hold a record of 4-0!, and school is going well. He has also been busy preparing for the USU Bridal Faire this coming weekend up in Logan at which he will have a booth. Konae is doing well, she is enjoying her new school and the shortened commute time. She recently had a very successful stamp party where she got to demonstrate her stampin skills.

5 Years

Konae and I have now been married for 5 years! Sometimes we wonder were the time goes, I guess the saying is true...time flies when you are having fun. For our anniversary Konae's mom, Shauna was nice enough to come down from Logan to watch Ryker for the night. We traveled up Ogden Canyon to a place called the Alaskan Inn. It was great!~ all of their suites and cabins are themed in some Alaska way. They have a full size jetted tub (very relaxing), chilled sparkling cider, and a few different packages to choose from. We ate dinner at the Timbermine restaurant; this place is way cool; themed like a old mine, the booths are very secluded and the food was excellent...I would definitely recommend it. It was a great little getaway and a fun anniversary!

Ryker is 2 months old

Ryker is now two months old! He is accomplishing so much with his life already... pooping all the time, being hungry, starting to smile!, and getting heavier...(is this Ryker or Chris we are talking about). He did go in for his 2 month check up and is now weighing in at 10 pounds 6 ounces and is just shy of 22 inches long. He received his shots as well and did not really appreciate those but is getting back to his normal self after a few fun cranky days (medication was involved). Here are some pictures of him today...sporting a new outfit sent from Dawn and company...thanks guys!

As far as the rest of life, Konae and myself have spent the past week at our different schools getting prepared to go back to work on Monday. Konae is getting acquainted with her new cooking lab and and getting ready to teach 7th graders (new experience). Chris has been busy getting his office arranged, getting ready to coach boys volleyball, which will begin the first week of school, and oh yea, getting ready to teach both PE and health.

So we are keeping busy, hopefully we will get into some kind of regular groove over the next few weeks.

Moved!

Well, we did get moved down to Clearfield this past Saturday. With some wonderful help from some friends and family we were able to load the majority of the 26 foot Uhaul Friday evening and then finished up on Saturday. We arrived in Clearfield around noon and then finished unloading around 5, it was a tiring day but we made it. We are in the process of getting the house put together and will post some pictures of it after we have it all situated.
