Alana isn't tired

Alana likes to think that she doesn't need a nap but she does! She will be having lunch and then be really quiet which can be a bad thing but then you go in and she looks like this.

Lily Lake Yurt

Here is where the fun begins for our Lily Lake Yurt trip. We are getting everything ready in the parking lot close to the winter closer gate for the mirror lake byway. Then we are off for a fun filled 3 mile ski and snowshoe trip to the yurt.

Half way to the yurt we stopped for a yummy peanut butter and jelly lunch, Ryker was supper excited for the hot chocolate!

In case you can't see the sign Chris "drew" an arrow.

We unpacked and checked out the bunks and then made a yummy meal of pork chops and rice

Later that night Ryker was the first contestant to use the pee bottle.
Breakfast the next day was pancakes and bacon! Alana gets ornery when she is hungry - she gets that from her Dad!

Off to the slopes with the sleds - sometime the sled didn't make it down. Then we worked on a fort.

 Delicious noodles for lunch.
We headed out to Lily Lake and skied around a little - there where some weird ice cracking sounds coming from the lake so we didn't stay long. On the way back to the yurt the rope for the sled broke so there were some repairs that needed to be made.

Ryker waiting patiently so he could go chop more wood with the hatchet and Alana being cheesy!

Greg thought the stove would work great for cooking popcorn after about 25 minutes he put it inside the stove. which made the yurt smell like burnt popcorn. I used the camp stove and we were able to enjoy the popcorn in a few short minutes.

Since it was just after New Years we lit some sparklers, yeah!

We packed up and Chris and Greg stocked up the wood pile and we headed back to "civilization".
