Brigham City Temple Open House

Growing up I lived in Perry, Utah which is south of Brigham City and I attended middle and high school in Brigham City.  When it was announced in General Conference a couple years ago that a Temple was going to be built there, it was really exciting!
It was completed so Ryker, Alana and I went to the Brigham City Temple Open House. That is when everyone can walk through the temple before it is dedicated. I know temples are important because sacred saving ordinances are preformed inside for the living and for those who have passed on.  The workmanship is amazing! They integrated peach blossoms into the carpets and ceilings which the Brigham City area is known for.

Bear Lake Brawl

Here we are at Bear Lake bright and early in the morning for Chris to participate in the Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon.  It is cold outside and Chris is excited to go swim in the lake.  As the sun in still coming up the race begins.

Chris does well on the swim and then transitions to the bike.

Chris came in from the run with a good time.  Ryker dropped his banana in the dirt so I was helping him clean it off which ironically was the same time Chris came over the finish line so I missed the victory pose.

We have a lot of fun while Chris is out racing and love to go support him.  To celebrate the race, we had lunch at the Blue Bird in Logan. This was Alana's first time eating there, I think she enjoyed it!

Herriman Triathlon

It is way to early in the morning and we are on a bus headed to the starting line for the Herriman Triathlon. Ryker decided to walk down all the big rocks that went by the parking lot with out telling anyone so that he was in huge trouble. The swim section was swam in the man made reservoir. The race has a tag line of escape form black ridge which was ironic this year since there was a huge wildfire burning and as soon as everyone was out of the water they were going to use it to put out the flames.

And they are off!!!Greg was in the water first but it wasn't long before Chris caught up to him.

Chris ad Greg headed out of the bike pretty close but then the distance started to grow.

Here is Chris coming into the last transition to start the run.
This is Alana's "Where is Uncle Greg" face

 Coming to the finish line...

Yeah!!! Chris is a Triathlete!!!  Now the wait for Greg begins...

Twenty minutes later we see him coming, yeah!

The best prize is a hug and kiss from Alana.

We are really proud of Chris and all he has accomplished!
