Leap on over to the Zoo!

We hopped on over to the Zoo for Wild Wednesday. It was a colder day but lots of fun! The Lemurs really liked to check us out and the Giant Tortoise was on the move. Ryker says his favorite animal is the Porcupine and they walked back and forth in their cage several times Alana liked to follow them since they were at her level she could see them pretty good and they thought she looked pretty good too. I guess all the animals have spring fever.

Chris celebrated his birthday in style with a great home cooked meal and then moved on to The Perfect Chocolate Cake - and let me tell you delicious! Chocolate cake with sweet cream frosting and fudgie frosting, mmmmmmm!  Greg came up and celebrated with us and gave Chris some golf balls and running gloves. He received a french fry slicer from us and the stuffed black angry bird that Ryker gets bombed with.

The Mascherino's in Tooele

When Chris had parent teacher conferences and would be staying at his brother Greg's apartment we had a chance to go visit my sister Kalani and her family in Tooele.  Ryker loves to play with his cousins Cole and Luke.  I took the boys over to a nearby park when Alana was napping and we had some fun but it was cold so we didn't stay long. Ryker took a break from being Spider-man and wore Cole's Batman jacket every chance he could.

 While we were there we visited a friend of Kalani's who has sheep and they just had twin lambs born, ahhh so cute!

 Ryker did some bronc riding there on the horse and then Ryan, Kalani's husband, gave Ryker a ride on the "boing" before bed I don't think you can tell from the pictures that the kids were laughing so hard they had a tough time trying to stay on so I posted a video.

Valentine Aardvark

On Valentines day we had a visit form the Valentine Aardvark.  I had a mission companion Sister Mitchell and her family celebrated the Valentine Aardvark.  I thought the idea was great so we are celebrating him as well.  If you know me at all you know I have issues with Santa Claus but aardvarks are different.  Google it and you will know that you will want a visit next year. 

Super Bowl Sunday!

We invited Greg up for the big game and he grilled up the wings.  Here is a picture of the full Super Bowl Sunday spread starting in the bottom left 7 layer dip, chips, little smokies in BBQ sauce, grilled chicken wings, fruit tray, jalapeno poppers, and Jello team football heads! Delicious food all around the pineapple was so good!!! Ryker loved the wings he had 3 and then topped it off with some Jello.

Ryker loves to be upside down and he can stay that way for a long time it is amazing!

Our friends Danny and Jamie dropped off some delicious whoopie pies! Alana loved hers even if it looks like she is wearing more then she ate.
